About Wineflowers

Painting at Bloomingdale's Painting at Bloomingdale's

As a "creative soul,"  I have been dabbling in many forms of artistic expression for as long as I can remember, including painting watercolors, wall murals and furniture; interior decorating and custom window treatments; cake decorating and gardening.

Through it all, my subject matter of choice has always been FLOWERS!   I  think that love of flowers developed growing up as a Navy dependent, who lived on both coasts of the U.S. and on the islands of the Philippines and Bermuda, where the flowers were breathtaking.

Synchronicity was at play when my freelance decorative painting business led me to be hired for special events painting flowers on wine glasses at major department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor and Macy's.  It turned out that I loved the medium of glass painting and gained countless hours of experience honing my craft.  I also had the opportunity to talk to hundreds of people about my glasses and it turned out that they loved them and wanted a way to be able to purchase additional glasses--and that is how Wineflowers was created!
